Want to indulge in a sweet apple work of art?

Add a twist to classic apple pie with this sweet decoration. Wash some apples well and cut them into thin slices. Sauté the apple slices in hot sugar, which melts into a delicious caramel. Cool the apples down a bit to soften them, then roll them between your fingers to shape them into sweet roses. Carefully place the apple roses on a pie dough sprinkled with walnuts. Before putting them in the oven, spread some honey and sprinkle a teaspoon of cinnamon over the roses.

Bake the apple bouquet for 30 minutes (or until golden brown) in an preheated oven at 180°C. When the pie cools down a bit, decorate it with real rose petals and enjoy it while it’s still warm.
